Reflexology in Botley, Oxford
I offer treatments at my house in Botley. Many people find that with this option they enjoy the escape from their own home with all its accompanying responsibilities and chores. If you decide to come to my house for your treatment then please note that I have two cats and they often like to share the room with you. If you prefer, they can be gently encouraged to go elsewhere.
I see clients on the following days:
What to expect from your appointment
The initial appointment
When you arrive for your initial (first) reflexology appointment then I will take time to discuss your medical history, lifestyle, and what you want to get from your treatments. The treatment itself normally lasts for around 45 minutes. You will be on a comfortable recliner with cushions for support and a blanket for warmth (most people find that they feel cool during the treatment). I will need to access your feet and lower legs only and often women feel more comfortable wearing trousers that are loose around the ankles. During the treatment I can provide some relaxing classical music, or clients may prefer to bring their own music, or opt for no music. You are welcome to chat during the treatment, although most clients tend to find that they relax better when they close their eyes and switch off. After the treatment, we will discuss any reflexes that appeared sensitive and why that might be.
Follow on appointments
After you have had an initial appointment then a follow-on appointment normally lasts for 60 minutes. The format of the appointment is the same as for the initial appointment but with less time for talking. You will receive around 45 minutes of reflexology with some time beforehand to discuss how you are feeling that day, and some time afterwards to discuss sensitive reflexes.
How many treatments will I need?
It is recommended that to notice a change in your symptom pattern, between four and six reflexology treatments are needed. Once symptoms settle, then regular treatments weekly, fortnightly, or monthly may be beneficial.
